Episode 14 marks the end of the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood's first season. With that, I think everyone's fears that this new anime would not follow the manga can be put to rest.
While a few things have been changed here and there as not to repeat rules established in the first anime, there hasn't been anything significant that will affect what will happen from this point on. While I was a little bit upset by the omission of Yorki's introduction, the event still happened and has even been mentioned. That's really the only point that could've altered the plot, but it seems like Bones wants this to be an accurate adaptation.
Knowing that the anime will not deviate from the manga, we can focus on the series itself. Since we've seen pretty much everything up to this point in the previous anime, let's talk about the fights. They are AMAZING! The choreography is fantastic. With no filler, the fights flow a lot better than the first series. Going from the first anime to this, you'd think FMA became more action-oriented when this is really how it is. I'd even go so far as to say the fights have been more epic than those in the manga.
I'm stoked for next week. We'll meet my favorite character in the whole series; LIN! From that point on, things get a lot crazier. I can't wait to see some of the recent chapters animated. I'll have another season report half-way through the series.
